Only the first four stories in The King in Yellow are horror, but they're pretty creepy for the time they were published (1895). I'd recommend anything by Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, or Thomas Ligotti. Some other authors that I like are William Burroughs, Robert Anton Wilson and Philip K. Dick. Happy hunting!
